Position Details
Tasks:
• Manage daily accounts payable functions to ensure adequate approvals, coding and input of vendor invoices, organize documents and process approved payments
• Manage proper coding and import of daily bank and revenue activity
• Manage the reconciliation of credit card receipt submissions to ensure funds are accurate and no charges go unpaid
• Build, modify and explain processes and procedures on department reporting related to revenue or expense
• Report data to senior leadership and ensure processes are adequately documented in SharePoint
• Help navigate and propose solutions to best serve the company and exercise independent judgment on when to escalate to department leadership
• Make suggestions to leadership for process improvements or general business recommendations based on billing and revenue data correlations to provide value to company decision making
• Perform a variety of monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to ensure accounts are accurately represented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Generate and maintain accurate reporting to support the financial statements and/or financial analysis as requested by department leadership
• Collaborate with coworkers by analyzing documents and/or financial statements to properly guide and oversee other finance team members to verify all processes and procedures are consistently followed
• Gather information and documents to assist in the annual audit or other auditing projects, as they arise
• Monitor for unusual expenses or transactions and escalate information to department leadership to ensure safeguarding of assets
• Support other team members as needed to navigate day-to-day functions to ensure department accuracy and adherence to best practices are followed
Required Skills & Certifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or completion of significant equivalent coursework
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Excel
• Highly organized, self-motivated to complete tasks independently with a reliable work ethic
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain professionalism, a positive attitude in difficult situations and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Adaptable and readily available to fulfill multiple tasks with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
