Responsibilities
Your new responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily warehouse operations, including proper cargo stacking, segregation and stowage.
- Coordinate and allocate personnel to ensure a safe, positive and efficient work environment.
- Ensure that the warehouse areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Maintain accurate and timely paperwork related to the operations.
- Plan and coordinate warehousing operations with stevedoring activities to maximize productivity.
- Ensure that operating procedures are followed and properly communicated.
- Work with the team to coordinate with customers, plan shipments, dispatch cargo, ensure on time/accurate deliveries, and handle problem situations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environment program; provide necessary safety training.
You have the right qualifications:
- High School Graduate; college degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of warehouse supervisory/management experience; maritime experience preferred.
- Provide leadership and behave in an exemplary manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a changing and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of methods and equipment utilized in stevedoring and/or warehouse operations; supervisory experience.
- Health and Safety oversight experience; knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate efficient teamwork and promote cooperation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- $28-$32/hr. DOE, Benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and Holiday pay
