Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will provide essential support to our Human Resources department, contributing to a positive and productive work environment for all employees. You will be a key player in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative tasks. This role is onsite at our headquarters in Erie, PA.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Process new hire paperwork, including I-9 and eVerify.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to company standards, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
- Arrange travel as requested, including flights, hotels, and rental cars.
- Assist with employee events and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- 1 year experience in an HR support role preferred.
- Paycom experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
