Lead Logistician

Full Time: 40 hours per week

General Duty Description and Responsibilities

• The warehouse manager oversees individual warehouse operations. Manage warehouse staff, their training, and continuing professional development. The warehouse manager conducts periodic inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of records. They establish and monitor security procedures to maintain the safety of warehouse equipment and inventory. They ensure that the warehouse operations comply with all necessary regulations and interact with LSI Procurement and Logistics PM and customer management on warehouse issues. The warehouse manager is responsible for overseeing all the warehouse logistics functional areas, such as Stock Reports, Inventories, Disposal of Material and Equipment, Life-Cycle Management of material stored and warranties. Manages supply activities to include support of inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, and other related activities. Responsible for timely submission of reports as required by the customer and or LSI management. The incumbent will maintain overview of program accomplishment, budget execution, and manpower utilization, and based on needs and trends; recommends, initiates, or takes appropriate action. Additionally, will manage resources to promote economy and to ensure the application to satisfy programmed requirements and improve physical facilities associated with supply and logistics services and will ensure optimum supply support to the customer and supported activities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and management
2. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. 
3. Knowledge of business mathematics.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
5. Ability to direct the efforts of small work crews.
6. High School graduate associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
7. Able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
8. Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be at least 18 years old
2. Must have at least two (5) years of experience in performing warehousing/storage, inventory control, warehouse safety, regulations and required personal protective equipment.
3. Must have at least two (5) years of experience that demonstrates working knowledge of the functions of supply automated data base systems, and ability to identify and adjust information, research and correct errors and discrepancies.
4. Able to obtain a valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) fork-lift operator's permit (4-6 ton forklift) if required for the performance of duties for this position.
