JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: The Program Manager (PM) will manage an operations team to provide services for the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) Sustainment Information Systems (SIS) operations and logistics support. The PM will be accountable and responsible for overseeing the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of IT and related systems. The PM serves as the major point of contact and provides overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to location. The PM is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the Task Order to include both technical issues and business processes. The PM assigns taskings to contractor personnel, supervises on-going technical efforts, and manages overall Task Order performance. The ideal candidate would have at least 10 years of experience managing projects involving information technology and related systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three (3) years’ experience working with SIS operations and processes.
- Three (3) years’ experience working with DOD networking.
- Minimum of seven (7) years project technical management experience
- Project Management Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Appropriate training/certifications to possess an IAT II privileged user account
- SharePoint knowledge and experience
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Serves as customer's single Point of Contact for all issues associated with the activities.
- Serve as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters and provides technical/ professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise.
- Provide management services for operations initiatives, upgrades, and change requirements. These services should include schedules, monthly reports, and actionable task items, tracking of progress and milestones and reporting of project status.
- Oversee all operations to include project management and task tracking.
- Updates and manages project deliverables, risks registry, tasks and work packages, and contractor resources.
- Conducts recurring (weekly, biweekly, quarterly) and ad hoc status meetings with customer and program management team(s).
- Monitors and tracks contractor labors hours, materials, and resources.
- Coordinates efforts associated with developing new or updating existing services.
- Assumes responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations. This spans all aspects of user support, including on-site support management as well as coordination of the resolution activities across all functional groups (internal or external to the contractor).
- Performs Quality Assurance and Improvement analysis as well as coordinate efforts associated with identification and recording of known errors and root causes.
- Assumes responsibility for production and distribution of contract defined deliverables and associated task orders.
- Attends customer meetings as required.
- Maintain a single information store of project management tracking information.
- Establish program plans demonstrating structures, processes, schedules, reporting requirements and communication channels.
