We have an excellent opportunity to join our production team in a machine operator role. The Machine Operator performs machine set-up and operates coating, slitting, rewinding, printing and die cutting machinery.
Minimum Requirements:
Ø Ability to operate machinery after adequate training.
Ø Need to be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
Ø Ability to read measuring instruments such as tape measure.
Ø Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Ø Keeps slitter running as efficiently as possible, keeping downtime to a minimum.
Ø Insure quality checks are done consistently
Ø Achieve all production goals.
Ø Maintain stock level and production demands.
Ø Ability to efficiently set up machine to required specifications.
Ø Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
Ø Must maintain accurate scrap and productivity documentation.
Ø Ability to do light maintenance to ensure a quality product.
Ø Other duties as instructed by Inventory/Plant or Operations Management.
Direct Boss:
Ø Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor
Position Responsibilities and Authority:
- Inspection of product for visual defects.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Demonstrated support of company goals, values and mission statement.
- Maintain clear documentation for any required quality or production metrics
- Must properly label and sort finished material to avoid inventory confusion
- Notify supervisor and/or quality in the event of defects or unacceptable product quality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
