Entry Level Technician

Loikits Industrial Services is proud to announce a full-time entry-level job opening as a Commercial HVAC/R Field Service Apprentice. Candidates should be familiar with the basic principles of HVAC (vocational school or equivalent) and reside in the Lehigh Valley.

What We Do:

We service, install and maintain Commercial HVAC/R units in several different settings such as healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, etc.

We travel to and from the job sites on a daily basis. While we do not currently have accounts which require us to stay out of town on a quarterly basis and for emergency service calls, this may change in the future as our service area broadens.

As an entry-level employee, you will learn and be able to reproduce the following skills:

1. Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting

2. How to safely approach and service multiple variations of electrical equipment

3. Effective servicing/maintaining of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment and chillers

4. Safely working and adapting to all weather conditions and climates

5. Displaying the ability to work well both independently and with peers

6. How to professionally address customer and client concerns and provide effective solutions to presented issues

Must Have:

1. A clean driving record and valid driver’s license

2. The ability to safely lift more than 50 pounds

3. The ability to pass pre-employment, post-accident and random drug & alcohol testing

4. A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a state and/or federal background check

5. The willingness to run emergency service calls promptly and join a rotating on-call schedule once able to work independently

6. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and the ability to send/respond to company e-mail

What gets you ahead:

1. Existing skills in troubleshooting various brands and styles of HVAC equipment

2. Having a valid TWIC card

3. Having an up to date 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate

4. Holding an EPA certification
