ABOUT THE ROLE
Lois Law Firm is seeking a Training Facilitator to manage the consistent deployment of our renowned attorney and paralegal training program.
The ideal candidate will facilitate the delivery of information and objective feedback as our newest team members advance through our weekly guided chapters. The role will also require ongoing metric reporting to the Managing Partner, focusing on offering suggestions and guidance to improve on recurring training themes. While expertise in Workers’ Compensation is not required, a strong background in training methodologies tailored to diverse learning styles is essential.
The Training Facilitator must coordinate the team of attorney and paralegal trainers from our Paramus, New Jersey office to ensure that all legal staff receive comprehensive training on Lois Law Firm’s Standards and integrate smoothly into the Firm.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualified applicant is goal-driven, ambitious, and possesses strong interpersonal skills with:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in training facilitation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role;
- Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating and reporting data-driven metrics;
- Proficiency in Microsoft VIVA Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Certification in training or instructional design is strongly considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- LOIS Standards Training Oversight: Implementing a successful training program for each attorney and paralegal class throughout the year. This includes overseeing the preparation of specific materials, training schedules, and appropriate testing for each training program phase.
- Managing Training Staff: Supervising, evaluating, and supporting the training coordinators to ensure cohesion and effective training. This requires a keen eye on the process and a commitment to avoiding all deviations from our LOIS Standards.
- Assessing Training Patterns: Identifying and reporting on areas that require additional training support. This includes overseeing the documentation and direct tracking of new attorney and paralegal questions to determine areas of difficulty for new hires.
- Training Updates: Keeping up-to-date with any changes in laws that would require updates to our training materials. This includes yearly changes to legal provisions or published legal updates for upcoming years. The training materials should be consistently compliant and will be approved by the Managing Partner prior to deployment for each new starting class.
- New Team Member Testing and Communication: Developing and deploying a fortified testing system to track the progress of each new team member throughout the training process. This includes ensuring testing is comprehensive only to covered topics and removing any subjectivity from the reporting while providing it directly to trainees.
- Integration, Deployment, and Realignment: Coordinating the integration process for new attorneys and paralegals to ensure a smooth transition into an appropriate workload as they phase out of the training program. This is the driver to their independence and will be pivotal to maintaining the LOIS Method throughout their career.
TRAINING
You will be part of our LOIS Operational Staff under the direct supervision of the Managing Partner. You will be expected to complete our initial 5-day onboarding process while shadowing and meeting with our training coordination team as you acquire the information and language necessary to step deeper into the role. The first 60 to 90 days will have you shadow attorneys and paralegals to experience our educational program firsthand. You will also have direct access to regular meetings with our Performance Coach to ensure you remain focused on the development required to succeed.
