Overview
Our client is a dynamic and innovative manufacturing facility specializing in producing high-quality products for critical industries. With a strong focus on developing new technology and driving process improvements, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and enhance their quality management initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage resources dedicated to Mechanical Property Testing (Hardness & Fatigue Strength) and Dimensional Inspection.
- Oversee the Gage Control & Calibration system, including evaluating and managing externally provided services.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to ensure parts meet purchase agreement specifications and maintain adequate quality systems.
- Participate in cross-functional Design Reviews to assess product designs, inspection methods, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Identify and act on opportunities to reduce internal scrap, rework, and address customer feedback, reporting outcomes and improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Quality Leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CMM and non-contact vision inspection systems.
- Familiarity with Military Specifications related to Weapon Systems.
- Expertise in maintaining Quality Management System requirements aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Skilled in Statistical Analysis of Manufacturing Processes and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility studies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
