What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator position at London Computer Systems?
London Computer Systems (LCS) is seeking a full time Systems Administrator who will be responsible for managing and maintaining production servers. This position will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following items :
Administration of both Windows and Linux servers
Monitoring systems; responding to and ensuring resolution of operational issues
Expanding our current architecture to add features to improve current products
Participating in design and creation of new products to drive business growth
Maintaining and deploying highly available virtual server environments
Assisting with installations, upgrades, and patches to ensure proper system operation
Provide after hours and on-call rotation support
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Experience working with SAN / NAS systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Strong enterprise level networking experience
Proven experience with enterprise network and system security
Scripting experience with at least one of the following : Powershell, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python
Virtualization using VMware ESXi or Hyper-V
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a multi-site setup
System monitoring and reporting tools (Nagios preferred)
Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
Proven work ethic, tenacity, and focus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Driven, self-motivated, with a desire to succeed
Proven ability to resolve issues as a team
Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Security Plus certification
Network and / or CCNA certification
Experience with automation (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
Experience with web server administration (IIS and Apache)
Experience with load balancing systems
Experience with RDP environments
Database administration experience
Experience with containers and container orchestration systems
