POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator - Field Engineer is responsible for providing remote and on-site IT Support : excellent customer service, desktop support, troubleshooting, resolving technical issues remotely for our clients, and acting as our customer’s Information Technology Department. This position requires the individual to be organized and able to demonstrate a client-centric focus. Primary expectations include experience in delivering a broad range of technical expertise to solve customer's IT challenges. The candidate MUST have 2 years of IT experience which includes computer, server, router, switch, desktop, mobile device, and Microsoft 365 technical skills

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • You will be the hands-on engineer for the Indiana market. You will complete any projects or field work that requires in person assistance
  • Provide exceptional customer service while troubleshooting and resolving client issues remotely
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Linux and Window servers, Network Equipment, and Datacenter Operations
  • Excellent verbal skills / ability to explain complex problems in an easy to digest form for those less familiar with technology
  • Thoroughly update and document all client service requests, including client contact, troubleshooting steps and issue resolution
  • Participate in project and field work as needed
  • Participate in the engineer's on-call rotation
  • Work collaboratively with team members / management, to resolve customer requests as needed
  • POSITION SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • An Associate degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing technical customer problem / resolutions.
  • Experience in Managed Services a plus
  • 2 years' experience with hands-on technical administration and support of Windows servers, switches, firewalls / routers, Windows desktops / laptops / mobile devices, and software troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • 2 years' minimum experience with LAN / WAN network technologies
  • PREFERRED SKILLS :

  • 1 years’ experience using and supporting Office 365 Admin Center, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications
  • 1 years’ experience administering Veeam Backup solutions
  • 1 years' experience with Ubiquiti and Cisco network equipment
  • 2 years' experience with Linux servers
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Vehicle to travel to customer sites.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
