What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Coordinator position at Lone Star Dock?
PURPOSE:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient and accurate handling of inventory, preparing logistics documentation, shipping, and receiving. This role involves coordinating with various teams, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment while adhering to company policies and safety standards. The position also requires proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software for managing inventory and shipments.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ERP System Management & Order flow
- Responsible for all inbound receiving materials in the ERP system for the central warehouse.
- Manage all outbound shipments in the ERP system for the central warehouse.
- Perform inbound/outbound receiving, shipping, and posting of transfer orders in the ERP system.
- Print sales orders along with the corresponding shipping labels, and ensure their timely release to the warehouse floor for processing.

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Prepare and review logistics documentation, including creating and managing Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Utilize logistics software such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Manager, Worldwide Express, and similar tools to schedule, track, and manage shipments efficiently.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damages, or discrepancies, and document findings.
- Prepare and organize shipments for delivery, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

- Actively work to improve and maintain on-time delivery KPI.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and other departments to streamline operations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Other duties as needed by management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Strong computer skills is a must.
- Previous experience in an ERP system is an asset.
- 2-3 years of billing, accounts payable, administration experience
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing/walking.
- May provide support in operations, involving some physical effort.
- The ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts will be a huge asset.
