What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Representative position at Lone Tree Insurance?
Why settle for being a movie star or astronaut, when you could be an administrative assistant in the world's most exciting field: Insurance!
THE BIZ
Our established insurance agency's continued success and growth depends on amazing people... we need your help! We've been in business since 2008, and our clients love us. Insurance may not actually be the world's most exciting industry, but it's a damn good one when you're with the right agency. Yes, we expect a lot from those who work here, but the hard work of our employees does not go unnoticed.
THE JOB (THIS IS NOT A SALES POSITION)
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who's ready for a challenging, fun and rewarding career. You must be comfortable answering calls, have some amazing email writing skills, and know how to put up with some bad music that might be playing in the background (unless you're a big fan of Arcade Fire, in which case you'll love it). The person filling this role will be expected to be proactive about finding better ways to make the daily operations more efficient on our end, as well as for our clients. You will be needing to prioritize many different tasks on a daily and weekly basis. Some of those tasks include:
- Learning multiple software programs that are industry-specific
- Accurately entering client information into a rating system
- Learning how to navigate multiple insurance carriers' websites
- Responding to basic billing questions for insureds
- Managing a calendar
- After 90 days, if we both feel like you're a great fit, you'll be expected to obtain your Property and Casualty insurance license. Don't worry, if you're doing great after 90 days, you'll have no problem passing the licensing test. It's not rocket science.
THE SCHEDULE
- We're open M-F 8-5
- Our full-time employees work 72 hours per 2-week pay period. That means they have and extra day off every-other-week.
- If you need a little more flexibility in your schedule, we're willing to accommodate as little as 30 hours per week.
