Position Overview: Training Manager
We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and safety-conscious Training Manager to lead, manage, and grow our safety training programs. The ideal candidate will take over and be responsible for managing day-to-day training operations, instructor oversight, curriculum development, client coordination, and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards (OSHA, ANSI, RRC, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Oversight & Curriculum Development
- Manage all aspects of training delivery for LSUSA's core programs:
▪ PEC SafeLand & Basin United Orientation
▪ H₂S Awareness & H₂S Instructor Training
▪ OSHA 10/30 General Industry
▪ Confined Space Entry & Non-Entry Rescue
▪ Forklift Operator Safety
▪ DOT Driver Training & Compliance Programs
▪ CPR/First Aid/AED (Medic First Aid)
- Review, revise, and maintain training materials in accordance with current standards and best practices
- Oversee PowerPoint presentations, student workbooks, tests, and answer keys
- Coordinate the development of new training programs and customized content as client needs evolve
Team & Classroom Management
- Supervise in-house and field instructors to ensure consistent delivery and engagement
- Evaluate instructor performance, support ongoing development, and lead periodic train-the-trainer sessions
- Schedule and assign training sessions across multiple client locations and onsite facilities
- Maintain classroom readiness, supplies, and equipment used in practical demonstrations (H₂S monitors, SCBAs, tripods, etc.)
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all training meets OSHA, ANSI Z390.1, and RRC Rule 36 requirements
- Maintain accurate training logs, certificates, student records, and compliance files
- Conduct internal audits of course delivery, student evaluations, and regulatory alignment
- Coordinate with ISNetworld and Veriforce clients for qualification support and documentation
Client Relations & Field Support
- Act as the main point of contact for training inquiries, custom classes, and safety consultations
- Provide occasional field support or site-specific training
- Assist in proposals, quotes, and scheduling based on client needs
- Attend safety meetings, expos, or client orientations as LSUSA's training representative
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in safety training or instructional roles (oilfield or industrial preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, PEC, DOT, and ANSI requirements
- H₂S instructor certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Leadership ability to manage and inspire a team of trainers
- Must pass a background check and drug test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
