Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Community college counseling experience in EOPS, CalWORKs, and Foster Youth.
- Recent professional experience in helping students to deal with personal/psychological problems.
- Evidence of previous teaching experience, especially at the community college level.
- Evidence of an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Evidence of an ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of academic skills.
- Evidence of an ability to work with computers, multimedia, and other technologies that are utilized in providing high-quality instruction.
- Evidence of an ability to conduct various academic, career and job related workshops and presentations.
- Evidence of an ability to use and to interpret various career assessments.
- Commitment to the Mission and Strategic Objectives of the two-year college.
