The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences is seeking a Business Manager with a strong senior level background in business, finance, accounting or management. The candidate must be able to work independently to oversee the office, financial and administrative needs of the organization, and be responsible for several areas of our organization and work closely in our small staff team. In this role, you’ll play an important role in our organization’s operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and reporting, and increase the organization's efficiencies.
The duties include oversight and management of the office workflow. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, work well and support other staff members, and provide excellent customer service.
Maintaining standard accounting procedures is very important. The candidate must be able to manage tracking of income and expenditure accounts, payroll, track employee expenditures, and general administrative responsibilities. Skills that are a must include MS Office, ADP, and QuickBooks Online. Skills that are plus are Constant Contact, point of sale transactions, and Salesforce. Experience membership relations and community outreach are also of interest, as is the ability to wear multiple and multi-task especially during our busy summer season.
The candidate must be able to start immediately, and available to work three to five days a week on a part-time basis starting immediately during our very busy summer season. Typically, from June to September, this position can be up to 35 hours per week. From October through May, this position can be up to 21 hours per week. This is an ideal position for a person who desires flexible work hours, and lives on Long Beach Island.

- Qualification: Office management
- Knowledge of Quickbooks and MS Office Suite.
- Previous accounting experience is a plus
- Must be able to supervise others in POS systems used
- Well organized with exceptional attention to financial detail
- Willingness to be available for occasional evening and weekend events.
- Good communication skills and a supportive team member
- The position requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, special events, or any other related field.
