Job Description
Position Title: Adventure Days Camp Counselors
Summary: Our counselors are invaluable staff members who are role models that assist and motivate campers whether they are trying to learn a new skill or they have concerns about an issue or idea. Our counselors should do everything in their power to make each of their campers’ summer the most memorable yet. This is a summer position Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and participate in group activities such as crafts, swimming, rock climbing, etc.
- Must be able to run guided tours of the Aquarium.
- Must have a basic understanding of science with which to run experiments.
- Must be comfortable kayaking and willing to take the campers out on the river.
- Be crafty – you’ll be running the arts and crafts projects daily.
- Must be fun-loving, patient and genuinely concerned for the welfare and development of young people.
Qualifications:
- Current High School Students okay;
- Prior Camp experience recommended
- CPR/First Aid Certified strongly encouraged;
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills;
- Work well with minimal supervision;
- Flexibility in work schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays;
- Minor lifting may be involved.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
