Long Island STEAM Group is looking for energetic and dynamic individuals to conduct fun and engaging STEAM programs during the 2025 spring semester at various elementary schools across Long Island. A teaching or education background is a plus, but is not required. This is a part-time position for 2 to 5 days per week at a minimum of 2 hours per day.
This is great exposure to a low-pressure, high-enjoyment classroom environment for those looking to gain teaching experience. We work with elementary students of mixed ages using a structured enrichment program with fun subject-oriented activities.
We give you all the materials needed to succeed, you bring your personality and energy!
Requirements:
A background in science, teaching, or performing is desirable, but not required.
We will train you on EVERYTHING you need to know - this is basic FUN learning!

Long Island STEAM Group is an organization encompassing several educational and entertaining programs for pre- and elementary school children. We are the provider of Mad Science, Crayola Imagine Arts Academy, Schoolhouse Chess, and Brixology, and have been bringing learning programs to the children of Long Island for 20 years. We take pride in merging education with entertainment by offering engaging presentations for children while they are most receptive to learning. Having fun while learning is evident throughout every assembly, workshop, birthday party, summer camp, and after-school enrichment program we offer. We are always seeking highly energetic and dynamic individuals to conduct fun workshops and shows throughout the year at schools and camps around Long Island. Children expand their interest in learning through fun, safe, hands-on activities. We promote creativity by allowing children to experiment and experience for themselves how compelling and interactive learning can be.

- Your own transportation
- Must be available at least 2-5 days per week between the hours of 2pm and 5pm
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a joyful approach to teaching
- Experience working with children ages 5-11
- Outgoing and engaging personality
