Position Summary :
As a Clinical Research Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical research trials. You will be responsible for performing phlebotomy on research participants and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of biological samples, with a specific focus on handling and processing Quantiferon-Gold specimens. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong aseptic technique, and a commitment to following strict protocols.
Job Duties & Essential Functions :
- Perform venipuncture on research participants according to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately label and process blood samples, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and preparation for transport.
- Accurately handle and process Quantiferon-Gold specimens, ensuring proper incubation and temperature maintenance.
- Centrifuge Quantiferon-Gold specimens according to protocol.
- Process all other blood tubes according to protocol, including centrifugation and separation.
- Maintain accurate records of all phlebotomy procedures and specimen handling activities.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and infection control guidelines.
- Assist with other research activities as needed, such as data entry, inventory management, and study site maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
