Requirements:
The Infection Control and Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, the use of PPE, education and training on disease process and prevention of associated infections. The IP collaborates with the centers team and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies.
- Must have a valid RN license for the state of Rhode Island
- Providing nursing staff with clinical and educational support and guidance
- Coordinating all educational activities in the Center
- Focusing on Quality Improvement
- Identifying areas of educational needs
- Developing in-service programs, training staff, and coordinating the completion of these programs
- Public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related experience is required.
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology required (if not certified, we can provide assistance to get certified)
