POSITION DESCRIPTION

Support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in project management and integration, regulatory assistance, project support of all functional areas and development and operational support for NNSA process facilities. Provide strategic planning support services to the NNSA Capital Projects mission being performed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), LLC. The primary focus of these support efforts shall be to provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative through the development, editing, revision, and submittal of Critical Decision 2 / 3 packages, project specific procedures and plans, project status reports, and other project publications.DUTIESResearches, writes, edits and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specification.Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specification and adheres to stands for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.Provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative through the development, editing, revision, and submittal of Critical Decision 2 / 3 packages.Assist the project in the preparation of critical decision submittal packages.Assist in the coordination with NNSA on matters associated with the project.Assist in the development of procurement bid packages and activities associated with the acquisition process for the SPD project.Develop documents and submittals and manage tasks associated with the SPD project risk management requirements.Maintain records of project activities and progress.Assist the NNSA project with procedure development and updates to regulatory compliance documents.Assist the NNSA project with requirements related to project controls and Earned Value Management System (EVMS).EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant practical experience in at least one of the following : procedure development, procedure management, operations, maintenance, laboratory, technical writing and editing, work planning, configuration management or training. An Associate's degree and at least 14 years of relevant practical experience or a high school diploma and 16 years of relevant practical experience would be considered equivalent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years' experience supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering or other task relevant programs orprojects.Experience in at least one of the following : procedure development, procedure management, operations, maintenance, laboratory, technical writing and editing, work planning, configuration management or trainingProject support experience with nuclear facility operations, Conduct ofOperations and Readiness Reviews, preferably at the SRS.Site experience / knowledge with facilities and management at SRS isvital.Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.Ability to fulfill and promote L&A Core Values.Must be a US Citizen.

esired Qualifications

Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance within the past two years.Previous SRS experience is preferred.

LOCATION

Position will be on-site in Aiken, SC.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Duration of the Contract : One year with the option to extend for two additional one year option years.
  • Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
  • Yearly options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation.

Estimates Hours Per Year : 2,000 ST / 800 OT

Anticipated Work Schedule : 6-4 : 30 Monday -Thursday

Onsite or Remote? 100% onsite Candidate must be local within 49 mile radius or willing to relocate prior to starting the role at their own expense.
