Longenecker & Associates (L&A), supporting the United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR) LLC contract, is in search of a Performance Assurance Specialist, to support the Contract & Performance Assurance organization. This position reports to the UCOR Contract and Performance Assurance Manager. The Contract and Performance Assurance organization is responsible for implementing the Management / Self-Assessment Program, Issues Management Program, Lessons Learned / Operating Experience (OPEX) Program, Event Investigation Program, Performance Monitoring and Metrics, Occurrence Reporting, Price-Anderson Amendments Act (PAAA) Nonconformance Tracking System (NTS) Reporting, Requirements Management, Technical Standards Program, and Enterprise Risk Management. UCOR LLC is the prime contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) / Environmental Management (EM).

POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Performance Assurance & Improvement Specialist will work under the direction of the Contract and Performance Assurance Manager, support effective and efficient implementation of the Performance Assurance programs as described in UCOR Contractor Assurance Program Description (in response to DOE O 226.1B); and drive mission focused continuous improvement initiatives in selected program areas.

LOCATION
This full-time on-site position is located at the UCOR office in Oak Ridge, TN. UCOR is conducting major cleanup activities at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Y-12 National Security Complex as well as remedial activities at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). Cleanup missions on the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR) focus on protecting people and the environment from industrial and chemical hazards while enabling current and future science and national security programs. UCOR also leads critical projects (e.g., Outfall 200 Mercury Treatment Facility and the Environmental Management Disposal Facility) and manages nuclear operations facilities at the ORNL and Transuranic Waste Processing Center. As a DOE Voluntary Protection Star site—the highest safety designation for a DOE site—safety is a prerequisite for the performance of all work performed.
