Full Job Description

Longhorn Organics is seeking an experienced Plumbing Mechanical Superintendent to lead and oversee our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction activities, managing daily operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily goals and progress in clear written and verbal formats.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and oversee safety programs at the job site.
  • Attend and actively participate in all construction, planning, and coordination meetings with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Execute construction and fabrication processes to ensure proper installation of all equipment, systems, and materials per contract documents and company policies.
  • Coordinate operational and logistical details to meet project schedules, including long-lead planning and detailed material task planning.
  • Lead pull planning activities with general contractors and trade partners to maintain project timelines.
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling of on-site crew members to meet project requirements.
  • Manage and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for growth.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs, maintaining daily logs of completed work and coordinating record drawings.
  • Provide skills and safety training to crew members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:
  • 5 years of construction team experience.
  • 1 year of experience in LSS/water filtration design and fabrication.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Required Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Total Robotic Station and/or survey capabilities.
  • Strong time and talent management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Budget management and plumbing expertise.
  • Skilled with general hand and shop tools.
  • Ability to sit, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs independently.
  • Capacity to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Digital design capabilities, including Revit.
  • Facilities management knowledge.
  • HDPE Fusion Welding certification.
  • Experience with glass/acrylic handling and aquatic exhibit ecosystem management.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
