Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistant
Our growing team is looking to add an Oral Surgery Assistant. We are looking for a dynamic and personable professional who is a self-starter and a great team player. We are seeking a dependable, energetic individual who thrives in a busy environment with a positive attitude. This position is a full-time 34-36hr/wk, 4-5 days a week with a competitive benefits package that includes: paid vacation, PTO, paid major holidays and retirement plan contribution. Primary Responsibilities Include
- Prepare operatories and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assist surgeon with surgical procedures including first assistant and passing instrumentation
- Maintain sterilization area including surgery prep and procedural set-up
- Work with fellow team members to maintain quality patient care wherever needed
- Inform patients on pre-op and post-op instructions and care
- Initiate patient consultations, taking vital signs and reviewing medical history
- Obtain radiographs and CBCT’s
- Inventory control, clean and stock operatories
- Compliance with OSHA, HIPAA and privacy policies at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Office clinical experience preferred
- Outpatient surgical setting experience preferred
- CPR/BLS Certification (current)
- Phlebotomoy/IV therapy experience
- DAANCE Certified is a plus
- Experience with Sterile Technique
- Superb multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
