Longwood Gardens seeks a seasonal The Planted by Longwood Associate to assist in the production of large quantities of planted and dried arrangements under the creative guidance of the Planted by Longwood Manager, ensuring product upkeep and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in planting seasonal product builds and replenishing top sellers
- Maintaining attention to detail and organizational skills in both guest-facing and back-of-house areas
- Engaging with guests and staff on the sales floor to create an extraordinary guest experience
- Collaborating on project planning, share ideas, and sketch designs
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of display and work areas
- Ensuring inventory accuracy and reduce product loss
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Flexibility to work 30 – 40 hours per week including nights, weekends, and holiday
- General knowledge of horticulture or floral design
- Experience in a retail environment is preferred
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with an understanding of current horticulture trends
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs
