Auto Body Painter

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter to prepare, paint, and finish vehicles to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, expertise in color matching, and a passion for delivering flawless results. You’ll work closely with our repair team to ensure every vehicle leaves our shop looking pristine.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve accurate and seamless finishes.
• Apply basecoats, clearcoats, and other finishes using spray guns and other equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Keep painting equipment and tools in good working condition through regular maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an auto body painter (minimum 3 years preferred).
• Expertise in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, and spray gun operation.
• Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based paint systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship in auto body painting is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 pounds, and wear protective gear.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• No nights
• No weekends
• Overtime

Supplemental Pay:

• Commission pay
