Job Summary :

The Senior level Data Scientist will play a critical role in bridging advanced analytics with actionable business strategies with our Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) organization. This individual will lead efforts to design and implement sophisticated Analytical AI and machine learning models that solve real-world challenges and uncover new opportunities.

This role exists to advance our capabilities in predictive analytics, enabling the organization to anticipate trends, optimize decision-making, and drive measurable outcomes. As we transition to cloud-based infrastructure, the Senior Data Scientist will lead the charge in leveraging the scalability and efficiency of modern cloud platforms to enhance our analytics framework.

Additionally, this role is integral to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the data science team. The senior level Data Scientist will mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and promoting rigorous statistical thinking across the organization. By staying at the forefront of industry trends, this individual will ensure that our analytics practices remain cutting-edge and aligned with the evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

Machine Learning & Statistical Analysis

  • Leverage and analyze data from across the organization to deliver meaningful insights that provide enhanced user experience.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize predictive analytics solutions.
  • Deploy machine learning solutions in real-world contexts.
  • Lead efforts to migrate and develop data science tools and workflows onto cloud platforms.
  • Implement dimensionality reduction techniques (PCA, PLS) for feature selection and data preprocessing.
  • Develop classification and regression models using various algorithms (Random Forests, SVM, Neural Networks).
  • Apply clustering techniques for pattern discovery and segmentation.
  • Validate model / test assumptions, interpret model outputs and assess model performance with solid theoretical understanding.
  • Develop visualization techniques to communicate statistical results.

End-to-End Solution Development

  • Support design and implementation of complete ML solutions from data ingestion to deployment.
  • Support building scalable data processing pipelines and model serving infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain APIs for model deployment.
  • Integrate solutions with existing business systems and databases.
  • RPA Development & Integration

  • Identify processes suitable for automation and propose RPA solutions.
  • Design and implement RPA solutions to automate repetitive business processes.
  • Integrate RPA workflows with ML models and data pipelines.
  • Create documentation and training materials for RPA solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain RPA performance and reliability.
  • Key requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Bachelor's of Science in Life Sciences (Data Science and / or Computer Science) is preferred.
  • Expertise in visualizing data that promotes action and ease of understanding.
  • A deep understanding of statistical learning methods, including both the practical techniques of machine learning and the theoretical foundations of its algorithms.
  • Expert level understanding of multivariate statistical methods.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical methods and tools such as R, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Aptitude for or experience with data engineering and ETL workflows.
  • Experience identifying and recommending analytics tools, metrics and visualizations to monitor and improve business process performance, operational efficiency, and decision making.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
  • Experience with at least one major RPA platform (UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Clear understanding of business process automation principles.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
