We are actively recruiting candidates to participate in our 2025 On-site Summer Internship program. This program is roughly 12 weeks in length and will immerse you into the culture and operations of Lonza Portsmouth. The position will report to the Midscale strategic operations group which is responsible for campaign readiness, manufacturing improvement projects and throughput of the manufacturing area. The candidate will work on improvement projects that drive on-time delivery of a quality product to our customers and patients. Potential interns must be able to commit to at least 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship.
The internship program begins Tuesday, May 27, 2025 and ends on Friday, August 15, 2025. Potential interns must be able to commit to 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship.

Our Lonza Portsmouth site is a clinical-to-commercial, multi-product manufacturing facility located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, only 56 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. The site, which employs over 1,500 employees, is a custom manufacturer of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins using mammalian cell culture.
We offer an onsite cafeteria, fitness center and other amenities. The city of Portsmouth is home to many restaurants, breweries, museums, and theaters. The ocean and mountains are nearby and we have major cities close by (Boston, Portland, Manchester).

Required Education
- Completion of junior year (typically 90 credits) towards a B.S. degree in a Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering related degree program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) required
- Must currently be enrolled in BS or MS Academic Program
- Must be available to begin the Internship on Tuesday, May 27, 2025
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to contribute as a team member
- Ability to organize, plan and complete projects
- Research skills and attention to detail
