Summary
Looker Properties is looking for a reliable, flexible, and hard-working individual to fill an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator. The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a variety of different heavy machinery and equipment in a gravel pit manufacturing environment. This position works under the supervision of the site manager.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates heavy machinery related to gravel pit, including but not limited to: loader, bulldozer, excavator, skid steer, water truck, and sweeper
- Conducts safety inspections on equipment prior to use to identify maintenance and repair requirements
- Uses heavy machinery to remove, relocate, or otherwise process materials
- Works with site manager and other equipment operators to complete manufacturing activities such as crushing, screening, and blending of dirt, rock, asphalt, concrete, and other materials
- Maintains a neat and tidy worksite
- Communicates with scale operator and directs incoming and outgoing trucks using CB system
- Participates in training and staff meetings as needed
- Adheres to all company, state, and federal safety standards
- Punches in and out using mobile time tracker
- Communicates effectively with site manager, fellow operators and laborers, customers, and general public
- Supports site manager with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in equipment operation, gravel pit operation, or any other similar combination of education and experience that provides a functional knowledge of equipment and gravel pit operations
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to adapt to change and growth in a rapidly changing environment

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
