What are the responsibilities and job description for the History Fall Term Sabbatical Replacement 25 - 26 position at Loomis Institute?
The Loomis Chaffee School announces a search for a fall term sabbatical replacement in History. The position will begin teaching in August of 2025 and will end at the end of fall term in November of 2025. The preferred candidate has a degree in the subject, the ability to teach United States History, and the ability and willingness to participate in the school’s co-curricular program in coaching, residential life, or needed after school activities. Candidates with a background in Religious Studies and/or East Asian History might be considered for a full-year position.
Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school and in addition to teaching history, other responsibilities likely would include dormitory residence or affiliation as well as participation in the afternoon program at the school in a manner commensurate with the candidate’s skills. Housing may be available.
