Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their finance team in Evans, GA. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation for audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve financial data issues proactively.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
