Role Description
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for supervising daily operations at our Florida warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of our premium cigars and tobacco leaf products. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience, excellent organizational skills, and forklift certification to safely and efficiently manage warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely; assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to optimize team performance.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement process improvements and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Forklift certification and experience in operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
