Job Overview
This is an exciting job opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Data Analytics. The Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for:
- Supporting data-related projects by identifying user needs, collecting data, and performing data analysis & interpretation of data
- Utilizing data visualization techniques to design and create easy-to-communicate and easy-to-understand graphic or visual representations of large amounts of complex quantitative and qualitative data
- Utilizing the tools and techniques used in data analytics to mine the team’s data needs; including, analysis of Teacher Training test scores, federal and state grant metrics, and other sources of data within the Talent & Business Innovation team.
- Assisting with recognizing key metrics and helping the team build high-level dashboards to track the progress of the team and grant performance
- Ability to work independently and ask for assistance when needed
- Ability to work in a team to understand the data needs and provide the team with relevant data insights
- Other data related activities as needed for high priority projects
- Ability to work on-site at LCCC in the DEC building (151 Innovation Drive, Elyria)
- Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week. The team is willing to work with the student’s class schedule
Required Qualifications
- Current LCCC Student
- Pursuing or recently graduated from the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Data Analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of and Experience with Data Software
- Organized
- Awareness and understanding of best data practices
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, and/or Smartsheet
