The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office currently has an opening for a motivated and team oriented Counselor to work with our jail inmate population. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited bachelors’ degree program. Licensure as either an LPC, LSW or LISW is required. This is a fast paced and exciting work environment, where you will initially serve on the afternoon shift to help meet patient needs. The position offers competitive pay with step increases, superb medical benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and participation in the Ohio Deferred Compensation program. The current starting wage is $35.53 per hour and rises to $38.13 after the first year.
