What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plaintiff-side Consumer Litigation Attorney—Wilmington, DE (Exclusive Search) position at Lord Gurman & Lewis LLC?
A high-end, plaintiff side law firm seeks to hire for its Wilmington, DE office or to work remotely (attorneys near Wilmington are typically expected in the office three days weekly, but someone from a different location could work remotely) a senior or midlevel associate to focus on consumer-related litigation. Admission in DE is not needed. The attorney should have significant consumer or product liability litigation experience, and should have a basic competence in the physical sciences and/or be conversant in areas involving toxicology, epidemiology, or statistics. The role requires the ability to manage complex cases and involves working with a team to develop litigation strategies, overseeing discovery, drafting complaints and motions, and taking depositions. Some travel will be required, but not an extensive amount. Base compensation is likely between $175,000-215,000, depending upon experience, plus a purely discretionary bonus (typically ranging from $5,000-20,000 or so). I have close ties with the firm and have placed many attorneys there.
