What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Quality Assurance Engineer position at Lorenz Engineering, a division of The Salem Group?
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of up to 5 Quality Auditors.
- Oversee and ensure proper functioning of quality auditing, inspection, and nonconformance programs.
- Maintain PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and calibration standards.
- Create and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Oversee quality quarantine areas and manage MRB (Material Review Board), Internal Damage, RMAs (Return Materials Authorizations), and product repairs.
- Analyze nonconforming products and coordinate actions to handle goods.
- Interview, hire, and train new staff while keeping the department fully staffed.
- Develop and review control plans, SOPs, and other documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on quality metrics and updates.
- Train QA personnel on procedures, tools, and techniques.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to resolve quality-related problems.
