Job Title: Project Coordinator – Cross Bore Program
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support the Cross Bore Program Manager and Lead Analyst throughout all phases of sewer inspection and cross bore remediation projects. This role is responsible for managing project workflows, ensuring deliverable quality, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders including municipalities and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project management activities across the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Support team members and promote collaboration to meet project milestones.
- Monitor inspection videos and project data for quality assurance and accuracy.
- Manage the storage, organization, and quality review of project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work packages, budgets, and invoices.
- Generate and distribute project reports in various formats as required.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to program requirements and support change initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings with internal staff and contractors; document decisions and outcomes.
- Proactively address deficiencies and support corrective action plan development and tracking.
- Implement process improvements based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
- Utilize multiple IT platforms daily, including Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Power BI, GIS systems, and Work Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sewer inspection, natural gas, or utility construction environments.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in data review, documentation control, and project tracking tools.
- Familiarity with project management principles and quality control methods.
- Equivalent military experience in related technical or leadership roles will be considered.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with occasional field visits as needed.
- Current schedule includes four days onsite and one day remote (Friday), following Southern Company policy.
