Project Support Specialist
Location : Birmingham, Alabama (On-site)
Salary Range : $20 - $30 per hour
Experience Required : 0 - 5 years
Job Summary :
The Project Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting project teams to achieve their goals efficiently. This position involves close collaboration with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery. The specialist is responsible for documentation management, resource coordination, risk assessment, communication facilitation, quality assurance, and budget tracking.
This role is ideal for candidates with 0 - 5 years of experience in project support, coordination, or a related field. Candidates with experience in power delivery distribution field engineering or outside plant (OSP) permitting within telecommunications are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
3 years of power delivery distribution field engineering experience is preferred , but will consider 3 to 5 years of Outside Plant (OSP) permitting experience with a telecommunication company.
- Joint Use make-ready work experience is preferred. If the absence of related experience, candidate must possess the ability to understand work-flows for joint use make-ready, or rapidly develop knowledge of joint use concepts.
- Proven project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage large projects.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and succinct manner, ability to resolve issues that may arise, and make timely effective decisions.
- Must be customer focused and able to build effective working relationships, and resolve customer issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
- Ability to create Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience in SQL, Excel, Access, Power BI, and other database and reporting tools is preferred.
- Use data analytics to identify issues and demonstrating findings.
- GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts is preferred.
- Identify and execute improvements in current processes and tools.
