Role Overview: As a Technical Sales Representative, you will drive sales for leading-edge electronic and mechanical manufacturers to existing and potential customers. You will work with the customer to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and build lasting relationships with key decision-makers. Your role is crucial in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and engage potential clients, execute strategic sales plans, and present product demos to boost market share.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong client relationships, provide exceptional service, address concerns or inquiries, resolve issues quickly, be the primary point of contact, and ensure a top-tier professional level of customer satisfaction resulting in repeat business.
- Technical Expertise: Gain an understanding of technical aspects of our manufacturer's products (applications, features, benefits), assist customers in selecting the ideal solutions, and deliver expert support and troubleshooting.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay ahead by actively monitoring industry trends, analyzing market data to uncover opportunities and threats, and providing insightful feedback to enhance our product offerings.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records (sales activities, customer interactions, market intelligence), prepare sales reports (forecasts, updates), and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development for cohesive strategies and participate in industry events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Prefer bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical field. Additional certifications or technical training is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technical products and their applications. Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively.
- Sales Skills: Proven sales skills with excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present information in a clear and engaging manner.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise with a customer-focused approach - providing ideal solutions.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
