• Master's degree, teaching and administrative credentials; doctorate degree preferred
- Four years of successful teaching experience and four years of site and/or district administrative experience
- Two years of responsible personnel experiences, preferably in a school district and/or Merit System
- Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision and priority goals

- Develop programs conducive to maximizing staff and student growth
- Be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with requirements of the Board and Superintendent/designee
ASSIGNMENT/DUTIES – Begins July 1, 2023
• Serve in the administration of all human resources services, labor relations, employee contract management and
school law for both certificated and classified employees and perform Merit System Personnel management activities
for the District
- Provide leadership and direction in the areas of certificated and classified personnel, and the goals of the Human
- Serve as the District’s chief negotiator with employee associations
- Provide leadership that promotes collaborative planning, innovative thinking and exemplary programs and services
- Serve as advisor to the Superintendent pertaining to human resources, employee relations and district programs
- Supervise the Director, Safety and Student Services
• Placement on 2023-24 Administrators’ Salary Schedule: $213,638 – $253,207 (plus doctoral stipend) – 12 months
