Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Sr. Librarian, Librarian, or designee, performs library tasks including providing customer service throughout the library at multiple service points. Provides specialized services to patrons and serves as subject knowledge expert in assigned specialty areas such as technology support, inter-library loan services, acquisitions, cataloging, programming, or other duties in assigned areas. Operates as person-in-charge during evenings and weekends. Provides backup to supervisor in assigned service area as needed. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Two years of related experience, which may include any combination of the following: working in a bookstore or library; working with collections in a museum or educational setting; researching using on-line resources or using databases; teaching or training experience; supporting and troubleshooting hardware or software; editing websites.
- If primary task includes Youth Services, must successfully complete a thorough background investigation.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science, Library and Information Science, or related field.
- Two years of experience working in a public library.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license.
