The student employee in this position will assist staff with daily routine library operations. Duties may include library searches, general office work, data entry, and assisting patrons.

- Routine data entry
- Answering phones; greeting customers; taking messages
- Scanning and making copies
- Training new hires
- Managing schedules
- Providing support to students (tutors, peer mentors, orientation leaders)
- Conduct presentations
- Managing confidential information
- Maintain regular attendance
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Answering phones if needed.
- Checking out, checking in, and renewing library materials.
- Providing research assistance.
- Retrieving and shelving books.
- Maintaining the library book stacks.
- Delivery books to campus offices.
- Answering basic library and NMHU campus questions at the Information Desk.
- Assisting ALL staff in the library.
Education:
Preferred Qualifications
- College student at NMHU enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours
- High School Diploma or GED
- No experience to some clerical/office experience
Job related experience is desired
