What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Relations Associate position at Los Angeles County Fair Assn Fairgrounds?
Performs a broad range of guest services activities during the Los Angeles County Fair. Responsible for assisting guests with directions, vendor and event information, and problem solving.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for greeting guests, providing direction and information on Fair events
- Distribute daily fair guides and maps to guests
- Assist with guest complaints and/or comments
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have Customer Service experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to move around the fairgrounds
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays (including every day of the fair)
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
