Description
Works within a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. Will assist the Wine Cellar Coordinator in bringing the Wine, Olive Oil, Beer & Spirits Marketplace to life by providing assistance to Fair guests. Is responsible for working in an assigned area, assisting guests with wine & olive oil related questions, serving award winning wines/olive oil and providing assistance before, during and after education classes as needed, as well as additional projects and day to day activities within the attraction.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide world class service in the Wine, Olive Oil, Beer & Spirits Marketplace by assisting the Wine Cellar Coordinator.
• Responsible for pouring wine at any of the three wine bars and assisting as needed before, during and after the wine education classes and assisting with re-stocking of product each day, as needed.
• Responsible for pouring olive oil and retail in the Olive Oil store.
• Assists guests with Fair related and attraction specific questions, as well as providing customer service to all guests.
• Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests.
• Must provide excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds.
• Ensure that the assigned attraction space is neat and clean throughout the day for Fairguests.
• Performing other duties as required by the Programming Department.

• Skilled in identifying and recommending solutions to problems
• Skilled in working with deadlines to complete projects and assignments
• Skilled in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands
• Must demonstrate sound decision making
• Must be a team player, with solid work and behavior ethics
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have completed LEAD or TIPS Alcohol training before April 26
• Must adhere to all ABC regulations
• Must have completed State Food Handling training before April 26
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required
• Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours a day
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Must be available to work every day of the LA County Fair
