Under moderate supervision, operates various supply trucks, including tractor / trailers, to deliver materials to various Metro locations.
- Operates various Metro vehicles, including supply trucks and tractor / trailers to deliver equipment, vehicle parts, and stationery supplies to various Metro locations
- Operates a forklift, crane, drum jack, and other equipment to load and unload materials from trucks
- Secures items on trucks and trailers to prevent movement and damage during delivery
- Completes Bill of Lading (BOL) documents that reflect materials being transported
- Logs arrival and departure times to and from various Metro locations
- Inspects trucks to ensure that lights, signals, brakes, and other control mechanisms are in safe operating condition; completes vehicle inspection reports
- Utilizes Microsoft Outlook for email communications
- May stock shelves and issue parts and materials in storeroom areas

- Valid California Class A Commercial Driver License
- Possession of a forklift certification / license or the ability to obtain a forklift certification / license within the first two weeks assigned to the Senior Truck Driver / Clerk job classification
- Must comply with all California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal / OSHA) regulations and utilize approved safety equipment and personal protective gear including, but not limited to, respirators, eye and hearing protective devices (HPD), if and when required
- Positions in this job classification are considered safety-sensitive and subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing, under Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulationsKnowledge of (defined as a learned body of information that is required for and applied in the performance of job tasks)
