Description
Under moderate supervision, operates various supply trucks, including tractor / trailers, to deliver materials to various Metro locations.
Examples of Duties
- Operates various Metro vehicles, including supply trucks and tractor / trailers to deliver equipment, vehicle parts, and stationery supplies to various Metro locations
- Operates a forklift, crane, drum jack, and other equipment to load and unload materials from trucks
- Secures items on trucks and trailers to prevent movement and damage during delivery
- Completes Bill of Lading (BOL) documents that reflect materials being transported
- Logs arrival and departure times to and from various Metro locations
- Inspects trucks to ensure that lights, signals, brakes, and other control mechanisms are in safe operating condition; completes vehicle inspection reports
- Utilizes Microsoft Outlook for email communications
- May stock shelves and issue parts and materials in storeroom areas
