Job Summary
The Academic Intervention Coordinator is a full-time, remote position reporting directly to the Principal and playing a key leadership role in driving academic success through targeted intervention strategies. This role involves managing the full scope of intervention programs—from planning to execution and assessment—while collaborating closely with the school’s leadership team, teachers, and the Special Education Department. Responsibilities include analyzing student data, conducting teacher observations, supporting the MTSS and SST processes, facilitating professional development, and ensuring effective instructional practices across the school.
Requirements / Qualifications
• California residency required • Current California Credentialing in appropriate content area • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards • Preferred at least two years’ experience teaching • High quality written and verbal communication skills • High digital proficiency in Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, and Work OS platforms • Ability to work well under pressure • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently • Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred • Ability to work with a diverse and distributed student body and peer group • Experience in coaching teachers to improve their instructional planning, instructional practice, and classroom culture • Excellent results in increasing student achievement academically and social-emotionally • A passion for teaching and genuine care for children • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
