POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for consideration as full-time Account Technician III positions, performing advanced clerical accounting work involving the review, verification, research, preparation, maintenance, and processing of the District’s financial and statistical records, data, and reports related to business services functions. This classification differs from Technician I and II in that duties and responsibilities are more varied and complex in nature, and thus requires a higher degree of initiative and independence in decision making. This position is an 8-hour/day, 12-month position in the Nutrition Services Department. The working hours are anticipated between 7:30 am - 4 pm Monday-Friday. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. Formal coursework or formal training (i.e., vocational or college) in accounting, finance, financial record maintenance, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Four (4) years of paid experience in clerical accounting work involving the utilization of automated financial record-keeping systems and bookkeeping is required.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This will be a merged open and promotional recruitment, open to current employees and the public. The recruitment process may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. Your written responses to the supplemental questions may be evaluated as a test part in the recruitment examination process to determine the most qualified candidates. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each test part of the recruitment examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each test part. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list is twelve (12) months and will be used to fill anticipated and future vacancies.
