What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Monitor - 6 hour (2024-2025 School Year) position at Los Angeles County Office of Education?
Job Summary
The Campus Monitor is under the immediate direction of the school site Principal or designee. Campus Monitor will ensure safety and security of students. The primary responsibility is to monitor student behavior, assisting with campus supervision, and enforcing school policies to create a safe and orderly environment.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Experience and desire to work with children; ability to command respect using positive leadership skills
3. Experience in working with students in physical education or recreation
4. Knowledge of or ability to learn appropriate laws, school safety procedures, and district policies and procedures
5. Ability to recognize signs of danger to school property and on campus
6. Ability to follow oral and written directions
7. Ability to exercise good judgment, neatness, integrity and punctuality
8. Ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students and community
9. Ability to work in an exposure of various temperatures, humidity, dust and dirt
10. Ability to respect confidential matters
11. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred
12. CPR certification

Requirements / Qualifications
California high school diploma Must provide proof of education (i.e. high school diploma, GED) - (The district may require that originals be presented for verification prior to employment)
