This is a promotional opportunity for current permanent employees of the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) or those on the re-employment list. Los Angeles County Office of Education, GAIN division, is looking for highly motivated and results-driven individuals to apply for the position of GAIN Curriculum and Compliance CoordinatorThe GAIN Curriculum and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating contract compliance related to program and curriculum development, service delivery, training, and record keeping.

The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following

Knowledge :

  • Applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations related to workforce development and welfare-to-work programs
  • Principles and methods of program and curriculum development, training, and service delivery
  • Contract development and contract compliance
  • Fundamental concepts of employment laws, codes, and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and Cal / OSHA and applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreements

  • Required Education and Experience Education : A bachelor's degree in public or business administration, psychology, sociology, political science, economics or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

    Experience : Four years of experience in workforce development programs such as GAIN and curriculum development and compliance, including one year of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.

    Additional Requirements : A valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
